As of January 18th, 2010 there are now a total of 45 photos in the "Ronnie Rall and Dave Estep Album".  Thanks so much to Kathy Estep and her daughter Julie Estep Buckner for sharing their family album with us. Dave was husband and father to Kathy and Julie, while Ronnie is their brother and uncle. Both of these riders spent many weekends racing and winning on the dirt tracks in our Mid-Atlantic region.  From the cushioned tracks in the Carolinas to the hard grooved tracks in Pennsylvania and every track in between Ronnie and Dave became legends.  Both men were honored guests and featured legends in the AMA Hall of Fame "Heros of Harley Davidson" exhibit that opened in 2003. Ronnie is a member of the Hall of Fame and was inducted in 2001.  We are truly honored to be able to feature this pair of legends on our website.   click here to view album

Added video clip from Trail-Way Speedway. Armin Hostetter, who in 1972, along with his three sons, Barry, Brad & Perry, opened Trail-Way Speedway in Hanover, Pa. Added the "Ed Sutton Sr Album". Ed Sutton Sr. won the 1958 Southeast AMA Amateur Championship and accomplished great success at many TT and Flat Tracks across the Carolinas and Virginia, spanning some 25 years. Unofficially, he has claimed 500+ victories, mentored his son Eddie and both were possibly the most successful amateur riders whom never ran the AMA Pro Dirt Track Series.  click here to view

Added the "Johnson County Speedway Album". Located in Clayton, NC this 1/4 mile track was right behind Jimmy Flowers store on Hwy 42 East, and was the scene for many great races. The surface wasn't exactly a "cushion", but the sandy soil made it ride just like one, and the outside retaining wall was built similarly to the Harrington, Delaware design and made for some great side by side racing!   click here to view album

07/22/09  Added "1950 Darlington MARS Race Album".  The first MARS race in 1950? (ok, its a joke), The AMA held an oval race at the new Darlington Superspeedway on 11/11/50. The results were so disasterous that they abandoned any plans to run on asphalt ovals again. Take a look at the riders that were signed up for this race!  click here to view

Added "Bowman Gray Stadium Album". Bowman Gray Stadium is the longest running NASCAR track in America. Located in Winston-Salem, NC it has run a weekly NASCAR prgram since 1949. The track held Sprint Cup(Winston Cup) races annually through 1971. In both 1971 and in 1974 the track added motorcycle races to the weekly auto program in an effort to boost attendance.  Thanks to Keith and Francis Miller for this new album.  Click here to view

Added the "Tom Patton Album". Tom was a long time Mid-Atlantic dirt tracker in the 60's. He went on to become a member of management at Bultaco-American in Santa Clara, Ca, one of 3 US Bultaco Distributors before the factory take over in the early 70's. Tom then relocated to Virginia Beach, Va to work at Bultaco International LTD. He's now retired and living the good life in sunny California.  click here to view
